Package description for 'kmplayer'

A basic MPlayer/Xine/ffmpeg/ffserver/VDR frontend for KDE

 As a stand-alone application it can:
 - play movies from file/url using MPlayer or Xine
 - play DVD (DVDNav only with the Xine player)
 - play VCD
 - play from a pipe
 - playlist support for m3u/pls/asx/ram and understands some SMIL tags
 - play from a TV device (experimental)
 - keep movie sizes ratio
 - control arts volume
 - record using mencoder or ffmpeg
 - optional show mplayer output before and after a movie plays
 - launch ffserver when viewing from a v4l device
 - use proxy settings from konqueror to set http_proxy environment variable
 Some other features:
 - resize/fullscreen support
 - configurable pattern matching
 - position slider
 - DCOP KMediaPlayer interface support
 - VDR viewer frontend, configure VDR keys with standard KDE 
   shortcut configure window
