hi !
At the moment the server target is mostly a pkg-selection.
my usual policy was following: if the program is needed in a server
enviroment dependencies should be added.
if the program is not needed (like some sort of x-window chat program or
similar) throw it out.
i've created the so called server target to have a small target for
installing my servers.
it speed's up some things - it doesn't last so long to build like a
default or desktop target.
including the target in the subversion trunk has caused some roumours on
the mailing list, but since then nobody has created a "better" target or
did corrections or additions to this target.
i've been very busy the last months too, so i've been silent a long time ;)
currently i'm working on 2.0 stable - i don't know how this target lokks
like in the current 2.1 trunk.
