(jsaw) this is/will be needed for some packages that have
screwed .am files. gcc 3.3.3 seems to be a bit more strict
about library path detection.
(clifford) a list of packages (or a simple number) which are
fixed by this would be very helpfull..
(jsaw) packages that have autogen=1 need a
"buildmacro.patch". With this, the buildmacro patch could be
omitted. Originally this should have solved the pthread .la
problems, but this is solved differently now.
(rene) I'm also against unneeded functionality that might
suffer bit-rot - please only apply with an exact definition
which packages need this and what is solves
(stefanp) I second this, need more information - only
packages acl, attr and xfsprogs have a buildmacros.patch
