	update udev (102 -> 103);
	patch default udev rules instead of overwriting them - this way it's
	easier to keep in sync.
	update rule syntax: replace SYSFS with ATTR (or ATTRS), 
	ENV{PHYSDEVDRIVER} with DRIVER, imply /lib/udev/ for external programs
	(as is done in default udev rules).
	never change the real device file name in devfs rules, only create
	symlinks (keeping default /dev layout intact, e.g. /dev/dsp et. al.).
