Progress of Rock 3.0
Rock 3.0 is making some progress with regard to package selection and
usability, but still some big things preventing a freeze are still missing.
Check out cliffords roadmap at:
svn.clifford.at/wiki/todos-for-3.0.txt
and pick up a position from the "must-have" todos.
Some other things that haven't seen the light of the mailinglists are the
fixed dependency generation, several long-time patches have been applied
(the top position now being held by subversion) and finally hitting
error-free builds (well, all packages build, runtime-errors
notwithstanding).
Progress of Rock 2.0
Tobias really has a hard time merging all those patches that go into trunk
back into the stable tree. What's desperately needed is that package
maintainers sit down a few minutes and merge the updates of their packages
back into the stable tree.
Take a few minutes to get accustomed to the misc/archive/compare.sh script
and help Tobias to get a new 2.0 release out soon!
